The program works by matching native English speakers with international students or families. Participants can communicate through phone, email, or in person (e.g., personal visits, or meeting for tea, coffee, or a meal). Participants are expected to simply be friends with their new international friend and respect their culture, but are not responsible for any financial, academic, immigration, or medical needs.
